"It Begins With YOU: Helping With an Integrated Heart" is a 10-hour live course via-zoom designed specifically for Catholic helping professionals who wish to begin their IFS journey by learning to understanding their own internal system so they grow in their capacity to serve others with greater self-leadership. This course integrates the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) with a faith-centered approach, helping you to explore and heal the inner dynamics that influence your work and relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN.
In "It Begins With YOU: Helping With an Integrated Heart," you will embark on a 10-hour immersive experience designed to deepen your self-awareness, integrate your faith, and enhance your effectiveness as a Catholic helping professional. Through this experience, you will: learn to understand your inner system better, cultivate self-compassion, enhance your professional effectiveness, deepen your spiritual integration and be able to foster an authentic connection with you clients.
Gain Insight Into Your Inner System:
Understand the various parts of yourself (emotions, thoughts, behaviors) and how they interact. You will learn to recognize the roles your inner "parts" play in shaping your responses to others, both in personal and professional settings.
Cultivate Self-Compassion:
By working with IFS, you will build a deeper connection with your true, compassionate self, enabling you to extend this same compassion and care to those you serve. This process helps you integrate your own wounded or struggling parts, creating more space for healing and grace.
Enhance Your Professional Effectiveness:
As you learn to work with your inner system, you will be better equipped to manage your emotions, set healthier boundaries, and maintain a grounded presence with those you serve. This leads to greater effectiveness, clarity, and compassion in your helping work.

Meet the Instructors
Jody Garneau
is a seasoned Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Level 3 Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, renowned for her expertise in trauma treatment and her dedication to integrating faith and psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from a Great Books college in California, where she delved into philosophy, metaphysics, and theology. Furthering her commitment to psychological healing, Jody earned a Master's in Clinical Counselling from Divine Mercy University in Virginia, with a focus on trauma treatment.
With over 25 years of experience in parenting and homeschooling her four children, Jody brings a wealth of personal insight to her professional practice. Her discovery of Internal Family Systems has been transformative both personally and professionally, leading her to attain Level 3 certification. Additionally, she has specialized training in working with couples and families through Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), as well as advanced trauma modalities including EMDR and Flash techniques.
Jody's holistic approach, combining extensive academic knowledge with rich life experience, positions her as an exceptional facilitator for the "It Begins With YOU: Helping With an Integrated Heart" immersive experience.
Marion Bean Moreland
is a distinguished Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist with extensive experience in integrating faith and psychology. She earned her M.S. in Counseling from Divine Mercy University, where she now serves as an adjunct faculty member, contributing to the Spiritual Direction Certificate program.
As a Certified Traumatologist and Facilitator with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, Marion has provided psychological first aid in disaster-stricken areas such as Beirut, Puerto Rico, and Paradise, CA. Her dedication was recognized with The President’s Award in 2021.
In her private practice, Marion specializes in Internal Family Systems therapy, incorporating the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person to honor the uniqueness and dignity of each individual. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor from the National Board of Certified Counselors.
